At Exuberance Studio, we design, build and deliver houses across the globe.
Over the last 10 years we’ve built more than 300 bungalows, tiny houses and villas in our manufacturing facility in Bali, Indonesia. We now build in excess of 20 homes each year to accommodate the continued growth and increased demand for high-quality houses in Bali and around the world.
Exuberance Studio was established three years ago through a unique collaboration between Sylvere, an experienced French architect specializing in prefabricated buildings, and Herman, a seasoned local entrepreneur in the prefabrication of wooden structures and furniture.
They crossed paths during a joint construction project and immediately recognized the potential of this partnership. Both work , they understood that integrating their skills, expertise, and past experiences would be mutually enriching.
Furthermore, Herman’s ownership of a large-scale factory, ideally located in Denpasar and specialized in wooden construction, reinforced the belief that this collaboration would not only be particularly promising. Herman’s factory provides a solid foundation for the realization of high-quality wooden construction projects, along with a considerable production capacity.
These factors have allowed Exuberance Studio to evolve under favorable conditions, enabling them to fully utilize their capabilities.
Sylvere Tanguy, a French architect and the founder of Exuberance Studio, fell in love with the beautiful Indonesian archipelago over two decades ago during an eye-opening trip to Bali. He was immediately captivated by Indonesia’s potential, impressed by the abundance of material resources and the excellence in technical skill within the building industry.
Consequently, he co-founded PT. Touchwood with another associate, specializing in luxury wooden structure prefabrication. Actively involved in concept design, innovations, project management, and company leadership, he dedicated 15 years to managing and overseeing prestigious projects at national and international scales.
In 2021, inspired by this experience, he expanded his horizons by adding structural analysis engineering and general contracting into a new business venture,ngiving birth to Exuberance Studio. This move allowed for a full turnkey solution service from concept design to building completion with any building materials.
His extensive experience in the Indonesian market, coupled with expertise in construction within tropical climates, attracts a high-end clientele worldwide.
Herman Tanaja Tan, a partner at Exuberance Studio and owner of Laras Bali factory premises, comes from a lineage of Indonesian contractors. He himself has 25 years of experience in various large hospitality and residential projects with Laras Bali.
He has completed numerous projects in Indonesia and internationally, including the Maldives, Ibiza, Hawaii, and many others.
He specializes in prefabricated wooden houses and custom-made furniture in wood, rattan, stone, and marble. His achievements are diverse, and he has had the opportunity to work on monumental projects such as the construction of Surabaya’s tarmac.
His unparalleled knowledge of this country, its culture, and the construction industry make him a major asset within Exuberance Studio.
Gerardus Pamungkas is an experienced Indonesian engineer who has had a remarkably diverse career, having had the opportunity to work with several renowned agencies. He has been involved in largescale projects with complex structural challenges, and many of the projects he has worked on have emphasized innovation.
With over twenty years of experience, he has acquired a wide range of skills, including site management, design engineering, and project management. This versatility makes him a well-rounded engineer capable of addressing any technical challenge.
A highly experienced project manager, specializing in the construction industry in Bali demanding market. After graduating with a degree in civil engineering, he began his career as a project manager in Genta Multi Jayya.
Possessing strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a meticulous approach to project construction, he quickly advanced to participate in some of the island’s largest projects. With over 20 years of experience in the, he has established a solid reputation in the Indonesian construction market.
